Getting in will be a lot harder than getting out

Whilst I abhor Blogs and twitter, and all those kind of things, in short, i haven't got round to getting a diary yet, so i will be able to catalogue my experience of planning the trip up till now, then family and friends can follow me via this.

So, I have now booked my flight, although am yet to pay for it. I have a deposit down on the bike! WAhoo. I've got a place to stay and have made headway on visas, although its taken me far too long to get to this point.

For the states I need a visa which means i'll need an interview at the embassy. for canada, i'll have to wait and see as to whether they want me in the country. to cut a long story short. I can't use the american visa waiver program as i've not got a return ticket. so i get to have an interview. yay! how fun!

in other news, training is going well, am trying to get lots of hills in, which is hard in norwich!
